The Interaction Builder will allow you to create endless possibilities for all your VR and AR development project.
After creating your own haptic materials (as you can see here), in this post, we’ll show you how to use it in your 3D experiences. To help you to create your XR experiences, we created a no-code plugin to design, develop and implement 3D interactions for XR content called Interaction Builder. With Interaction Builder, you’ll be able to simplify the creation of multiple 3D interactions and streamline the development of your application.
When you create your XR scenarios, interactions can trigger events in your scenes. Opening doors, pulling levers, lifting rocks…Interaction Builder enables a fast creation of multiple and unique scenarios. Our suite has been developed for a wide spectrum of controllers and has hand-tracking support.
In a few clicks, you’ll be able to get a handle of all the features of your interactions. The Interaction Builder provides scripts that you can apply on your objects to build a complex interaction system without even typing a single line of code. You can effortlessly manage events linked to interactions, constraints or other triggers. For example, when a slider reaches the maximum position, a chosen sound is triggered.
According to your strategy, you can easily choose the trigger event, the body part to use (one specific finger, one or two hands etc.) or the general interaction technique (slider, rotation etc.). Haptic parameters are also fully customizable into interactions settings. For example, a vibrating object can vibrate even if you don’t touch it or only when you grab it.
Interactions are basically the most visible XR effects. Nevertheless, they can’t be perfect without an addition of haptics into them. One of the specific features of the Interaction Builder is to work in synergy with the Interhaptics Engine to render haptic feedbacks based on the interaction you are performing. That’s why we developed Interhaptics. To be totally immersive, XR experiences need all our senses. By handling all the parameters of your interactions, you create a tailored haptic material specifically for an interaction to have the best immersion possible.
